11" Cube

HC, dwarf hairgrass, glosso would all look good in the foreground, a small anubia would look good nestle'd in that little dip in the wood between the rocks, HM sounds good for stems, or you could use micranthemum umbrosum, i wouldnt overcomplicate the background, maybe some crypt parva around the base of the wood/rocks in the gaps? i dunno if i like the idea of e tennelus in a tank that small, might work if its round the rocks/wood and the forground was hair grass

Hc is already growing in in the foreground so I know where I'm going there. The ET is the very light green in the paint-up but I could change this to Downoi I've yet to decide, I don't really want to go down the route of crypts they're not really my kind of plant, that said I'm variable.
The plant at the turn of the wood was going to be an anubias but I've now got a hand full of baby narrow and needle leaved java fern that will want using up.

For the back ground I'd like to try something different or new so I may well wait for tropica's new plants to become available.
If I can't stand the wait then I'll probably got HM HU or a green rotalla.

hmm seeing as your going for a hc foreground, id go for crypt parva or pogostemon helferi instead of the e.tennelus, why dont you like the crypts? some of the smaller ones are lovely, needle leave java fern would look nice as opposed to the anubias, i also like the look of nesaea pedicellata very pretty stem plant.

My thoughts.
Monosolenium tenerum (''Pellia'') on the wood or alternatively a fissidens.sp.
Echinodorus tenellus at the base and by the rocks.
Micranthemum umbrosum as the background plant.

Bolbitis will get too big for this setup, now its spreading in my 10 It's showing signs of taking over.
I just don't like crypts, I find them just really boring, in music terms, they just don't talk to me.
MU is going to be my second choice for stem, I love the look of the smaller leaves of HM.
I'll try and get some Downoi, If I can't then its E T for the win.
I've already got flame moss for the wood, this is one area I will not be moving from, I love the look of flame and this is going to be my show piece tank for it.
Also I sold all my Pelia so I have non at my disposal and it's quiet a big plant and wouldn't compliment the scape.

This is how it looks from my seat, notice the paper? That's an essay... those doodles are the reason I'm failing English.

HC growth seems good, its a very nice shade of green even if it isn't spreading with exuberance yet.

This is my favourite angle, its quiet nice isn't it? I can't wait to get some stems in there.

I like this angle too, it shows the vertical nature of this scape well.

The substrate is ADA Aquasoil amazonia, It was some I had left over from a 10 gallon I also have running. It's expencive but the best planted tank substrate about.
