Hi I got this gold fish 10 years ago that was a table decoration at a dinner auction and took him home a while ago he developed this weird tumor and we could never name it and haven't tried everything now yesterday I went to feed him and he would not eat and I noticed the tumor was spreading. Now he seems to still be moving but floating on his side. Please help

Hi @Janaesmith099
First of all, welcome to TFF!
Our experts may be able to help but for a start, can you give us your water parameters: Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates, PH levels.
Thanks and I hope your fish gets better!

The fish is covered in excess mucous (cream/ white film over its body). This is caused by something in the water irritating the fish. Doing a 75% water change and gravel cleaning the substrate every day for a week should help with that. Then do a 75% water change and gravel clean once a week.

The growth looks like a tumour and there is no cure. If the fish has stopped eating and doesn't improve after a couple of big water changes, then euthanise it.
