ive got a spare 10 gallon tank ( when my babie guppies grow up) and i am considering getting a betta but what fish could live with him??? if theres not many compatible i may have to make it a dwarf puffet tank.

some cories.. uhh..

hmm... maybe some.. platys ?? maybe some dull ugly platies lol..

but im sure ya know he will attack bright fish :S

Er...10g is not big enough for a grow out tank :/ i suggest you get at least a 20g gl with em lil critters!

im gonna let the little ones grow a bit n then put some into my 30 g and see what happens.

you could divide the 10g 3 ways and put 3 bettas in at once with cories or ottos

i know you all have bettas in small containers but i thought a semi comunity tank with one realy nice betta would look good and the fish would be happier. or will they be just as happy in 3.3 gallon sections??

I have a male in 5gal and a female in a 10 gal community and they seem happier than the ones in 1 gal tanks.

One of my bettas has a 10 gallon planted tank all to himself. Well, there are a couple of snails that hitch-hiked onto plants, and my betta flares at them occasionally. He seems to enjoy the space!

I am also setting up a 10g for my soon to arrive CT/HM cross from aquabid and am trying to decide what might go well.I can't remember if neon tetras were considered to be compatible or not.I have five in a smaller tank but I won't put them in if it's not a good idea.I will consider some of the other suggestions though.

And I agree, bettas seem happier with more space.
