I'm not a professional but to my understanding, it is harder to control the water parameters in such a small tank. Not as much margin for error like a bigger tank. I have a saltwater 12 gallon eclipse and do a 4 gallon water change every week. It's been running okay for about 3 years now. Had some fish die though.

like barracuda said, the smaller the size the tank is the harder to control. It may sound cheap but it is frustratingly hard, especially for someone who never done saltwater before. also, there are barely any fish for you to put in there, i can only think of one creature and thats the sexy shrimp, (not even maybe)...

hope this helps! GL!

It can be done but I'd say if you have never kept sw before go for summit bigger.

Your parameters can change so quickly in a small tank so always remember "the solution to pollution is dilution"
