Do you guys have any ideas that have real world application outside of hobby fish keeping?

I am required to do a science project and decided that I would like to do a project on some type of freshwater fish. The experiment must be at the high school level and humane. Suggestions?

Neons! Just wondering, what would happen to one neon tetra who lived alone as opposed to a neon that lived in a large group? Sickness? Death?

Is there a particular type of freshwater, cheap fish that ABSOLUTELY MUST live in schools? I've heard that tetras and cories both do well in schools. Suggestions?

I have 2 assassin snails and they like to get on top of each other and only come off when its feeding time. They have been doing this for several days and today I noticed little white spots on one of them. I have no idea what this means! Help! :crazy:

That's how I feel about my different cories because they always eat together, sleep together, swim together, etc. I just hope that i can make them happy :) I think I might still rehome though?
