If you have finished the cycle and the water is still cloudy then I am thinking your gravel may not have been cleaned enough in the first place...I had the same problem when I did my tank about 9 months ago. I started again and cleaned the gravel through a small sieve a little at a time...hot...

I have the same 'diver' and yes, it does look a little tacky....but I like the xtra supply of oxygen into the tank!............ ..........but the nephew really believes we have a real diver in there and I would hate to disappoint him by removing it now!! :)

Might it be your gravel? I did my first tank a couple of weeks ago and after a few days it too went cloudy. I thought I had washed the gravel thoroughly but was suprised to see just how much more stuff came off it when I did it again!!.....the tank is fine now. :)
