Just got an update, bought one of those 'razor' scrapers which seems to work very well although i had to use it by hand as the holder it came with was broken on arrival.   It has gotten rid of some of the really stubborn algae that seems welded to the glass!

Hi this has now dissapated thanks.   I think that it might be there in the background but as long as the fish are healthy they dont seem to suffer from it? Might be wrong but the local fs said it would only be any problem if the fish were stressed or the tank water was poot quality.   Many thanks

I had the same white fluffy stuff on my bogwood during the first two weeks of my fishless cycle. It sort of went very flat and died back after another week or so. Now having completed the cycle ( hopefully ) there is now some algae growing!

Hi fluttermouth, I have had conflicting advice on the Angels as some say 6+ but I would surmise my setup is too small for this number where other articles indicate 2 are fine! I also like Gourami's so may look at them instead of Angels but I understand they also have some agression issues. Cheers
