Hey.. I've had my tank for about 14 months now. We've had a fair share of deaths in the tank most of the fish are only fairly short lived fish anyway. I'm trying to get the tank in as good a shape as possible to restock around christmas. I was wondering how often people do a water change...

The fish dont eat it. We have our water checked each time we go to our lfs and only ha minor problems. I'll get it checked again soon, and probably get our own kit.

Thing is, it's not really algae, its some sort of bushy green stringy stuff...

Hi guys, We've had our tank for jsut over a year now, and on one of our ornaments we've got quite a big chunk of mossy/algae/fluffy green stuff. just wondering if this is harmful for the tank/fish? Thanks.

Well that's pretty much what I do, but they just don't seem to be able to eat it.

I've tried feeding peas to my fish several times. They do seem interested, and try to eat it, but they're to small to take them in in one go, they keep nibbling till they get bored. I boil them, then let them cool and crush them as much as i can, but there are still chunks in there.... Any help?

I don't think that their scales are poking out. What do you mean by 'dry food'? What is a 'non - dry' food? And isn't it pinecone? lol

At the moment, I'm giving flakes pellets alternating every day. I leave out two days a week. Sometimes I give bloodworms instead of the flakes / pellets. What sort of feeding do you do?

I bought some bloodworms for my fish today (see signature for details). They came in a packet with cube-shaped compartments. You just sort of pop out the cube of bloodworms, like you do with strepsils :D Can anyone tell me how many / much i shold be feeding them? Thanks.

Can anyone suggest some new foods for my fish (see signature). At the moment we're feeding flakes and little pellets, but I don't think the fish are getting enough nutrients and stuff from them; recently they've been looking a bit weak.
