Just doing 10 percent water change and think I have overdosed on stress coat. Im I right in thinking that if is says 5 ml per 40L on the bottle I should be putting in about 12 ml in a 90L tank when I'm doing a 10% percent water change? As I said not really an emergancy but I'm panicking a bit.

One of my Tiger Barbs had a sore like this for a few days, It died but my Tiger Barbs were acting strangely then.

Would it help if i posted a picture of the pale tiger barb?

I clean my tank every week with a 10% water change.

If it is stress could this be because there is only 4 Tiger Barbs.

I do 10% water changes every week and I will test the water tomorrow the tank has been set up since last November and I last introduced some corydoras the start of this year. Also, I have noticed than one of the tiger barbs has become very pale.

I did have 5 Tiger Barbs, but recently they have been hiding at the back of the tank or behind the filter intake. I've got very worried about them since I lost one last week. the tiger barbs don't come up for the flake food and prefer to wait until I feed my corydoras and then eat the algae...

Ok, so if I rehome the penguin tetras and the tiger barbs, maybe add dwarf gourami?

How Would I rehome these fish?

I have a 90L tank with: 5 Tiger barbs -1 2 Penguin tetras 5 Corydoras 8 Neon tetras. But recently one tiger barb had a cut on it, and all the tiger barbs are now very shy and one died. They won't come up for food. and just hide away during the day. Does anyone know whats happened to them? Thanks.

Last year i stocked my 90L tank with: 5 Tiger barbs 5 Penguin tetras 11 Neon Tetras 5 Corydoras But i had some tank problems and lost quite a few fish....And with a fairly recent death i'm down to 4 Tiger barbs 2 Penguin Tetras 8 Neon Tetras 5 Corydoras So what can i do with this tank? Thanks.

When you put the new water back in does it have to be the same as taken out? And how big would the bucket have to be to put the fish in?

And if I changed to gravel, how would I do it?

Oh yes I forget to say, I will have some blinds soon but we've just got new windows so Ive Been waiting for some.

I've had my 90L tank since November now. The current stock is 2 penguin tetras, 5 tiger barbs, 8 neon tetras and 4 corydoras. Recently the sun has been out more and although it's only visible from my tank for a short period of the day, there is lots of algae on the gravel. So my question is...

It shouldn't really be a problem every now and again but too often may stress your fish.

I was just thinking 3 of the plants look dead at the moment. Could i possibly replace the plants with some new ones? would that make it look better? Also any other advice will be much appriciated. :)

It needs to be cycled first. There are plenty of cycling related topics so have a look and see if they can help you out :)

At least the other tetras seem to be fine.

I know what you mean, I count the tetras every day to make sure. Unfourtuantly 3 of my tetras got ill about a month ago and the tiger barbs finished them off :(

I suppose it could be that the Tiger Barbs i have are young but at first when i introduced the Neon Tetras the Tiger Barbs chased the shoal around the tank but that stopped after about 12 hours so now i don't think they see them as food. The Penguin Tetras keep them in line. The corys havn't...
