hi, im trying to breed red cherry shrimp and have looked all over the internet but keep finding different information on what temperture is best for them to be happy and breed well, right now it goes from 22-23 degrees, can any one give me a little advice thanks

I feed every two days, there really is no need to feed twice daily thats just nuts :good:

Ive had brown (rusty) slate in my tank before and it didnt do any thing and it was in for a bout a year but i also did hear it can be bad, so ill let someone else who knows a bit more about it give you a definate answer

In a 300L you could easily have 30-40 cardinals and the rest of the other fish i would have 10 corydoras if i were you :good:

I had 5 ottos for abput 2 months and all but 1 have died in the last week, what the hell? i guess there was not enough algae for them to eat :-(

Oh ok well if they have only been in a week then i guess that could be the reason, and i see (nice tank) that is really is properly heavily planted so i guess it would be hard to see them, but i had my amanos for about a year and put 2 golden rams in and i didnt see the amanos for 3 weeks...

I have 5 amano and 4 otto in my 3ft tank with loads of hiding places and plants and they never "hide" usually see at least 3 shrimps every day and all the ottos go around in a group, there must be something wrong in your tank if they never come out, any predators?

Ottos great little fish, will clean your tank glass, bottom sides of algae in one or too days :good: i have read that they can die easily after a month or two of starvation so make sure to feed them algae wafers and courgette Mine have been fine for about 4 months :hyper:

I when i first got my tank my first fish i put in were 5 zebra danios and i made allot of mistakes and they went through a whole pile of badness, not one died, but now one of my males has been very skinny for a while now so i knew it was coming but still very sad :angry: Had him for over a year...

Yeah i find at different times of the day the fish and shrimps act differently, quite interesting :hyper:

Dont worry there not 100£ each ! look at the purchase history for it and there are 150 sold at 3.50, he just puts the price up that high so no one buys off him, hes probably ran out of shrimp :good:

Hey, have had this tank for about 5 months and was used as a tank for sick fish but i have givin up on that idea as they never recovered, so i turned in into a shrimp tank :hyper: Its 12L and its set around 26C about 7ph, i have black sand on the way so hopefully that will make it look better...

I also saw the 10 zebras on ebay, they went for over 2000 and i that was with 1 hour left! :hyper: crazy!

Well i do 20% every 2 weeks and ive been doing this for many years so unless your ammonia is nuts theres no need to do it weekly

Buy tiny angel fish the size of a 50p and they will grow up with the harlequins and will not eat them, ive done it loads of times works a treat :good:

I would go for 20 cpds with that list might be a bit expensive but would be worth it, maybe get some dario dario, just a little bigger and look awesome...

For most tropical fish 24-25 should be ok :good:

I feed all my fish these there very small but even all the adult fish can see and eat them, they go nuts for them and they are very easy to grow, i use a razor blade to scrape them off there ice cream box :good...

Lava rock shouldnt change your ph, its normally crumbally but give it a wash and all that crap will come off :hyper:

Ebay is great, i buy literally all my fish stuff and everything else from java moss to car wheels, ive bought the lot! lol :shout:

Lets just hope the ammonia doesn't get too high in that as i wouldnt fancy a 50% water change!! :hyper:
