Thanks for the replies!! pH was @ 7.6 before I added 2 tsp of pH 6.0 Seachem Discus Buffer. I have since added 2 more tsp to see how that will do in a few hours.......is this good stuff to use? they are currently in 82 degree water....that is where mine is too....but I am raising it to 85...

My friend has 3 discus, and she has completely destroyed her biological system, and they are having to endure high ammonia levels, she is moving soon and taking down all tanks, she said I could have them....but she said I would need to get my Ph down to 6.5 like hers......... I set up a new 20...

yes.........they do, but I have one that was bit off as a baby....and his brothers have huge tails...and his has been very slow to grow back...they are adults now, and his is at about 1/2 the size of the others. :/

well Thanks for the input and help.....but I have gone with the Hagen Fluval Model # 304.....reason being.......it comes with everything you need to get it going! I also went with the trionic heater..........just placed my order...hope to have pictures up soon of the installation! Thanks...

I add it straight to the tank......of course I adjust the tap water temp. to the tanks temp.....I have always done it like that, never had any problems.

When I got my first tank this time around...the 2nd thing I purchased was a $30.00 Python......it connects to your faucet, and it uses the water pressure to syphon, and no buckets...goes right down the drain.....when you get ready to add water......make a simple adjustment, and the water flows...

I noticed yesterday one of my tanks was warmer than normal...norm is 82-83.....was at 86 last night...I thought it was just because I needed to add water....from evaporation....cleaned tank last night and filled with water.....just checked it....and it was at 90 degrees :whoh: This is my spawn...

This is a glass shrimp with eggs underneath it...they are almost the color of lime green....anyone know anything about them?? They have been there a week
