    Whats a blue gourami

yup, three-spot and blue gouramis are Trichogaster trichopterus - the same species. There are many variations as well that belong to the same species such as the gold gourami, ones without the spots as well as a pink/grey colored one which is the offspring of a blue and a gold! :S

    Murderous Angel Fish!!

Angels have a personality of their own. I have 5 angels at the moment with very different personalities. I had one very large male angelfish who unfortunately died that was very aggressive - nearly killed another large male angelfish - towards all the other male angels, indifferent to other...

    Hello

Hello, I'm a 'newbie'. Didn't know I there was a place to introduce myself in this forum. I've had fish forever in aquariums and outdoor ponds as a kid. I've also bred many species: guppies, mollies, platies, swordtails, blue and yellow gouramis, bettas, angelfish and goldfish. I now live on my...

    gouamis (sp) in a bowl?

Yup, never heard of a gourami being kept in a bowl. I've had gouramis for years and they do best in large outdoor ponds where they build large bubble nests and breed freely, of course in a tropical climate. Gouramis can get pretty big too so I'm sure they wouldn't last long in a bowl.

    Telling age of betta

Definately by the intensity of the coloring and the texture of the fins, they get brittle-looking with age. Betas are short-lived fish, living only approx 3y. liked the cutting open and counting ring joke by the way; here's a laugh for you... haha! :sly:

    angelfish questions

Angelfish can be finicky eaters when they are new to an aquarium or uncomfortable. Is he/she to the aquarium? If so, be patient and continue feeding small amounts regularily, it should eventually come around. Since you have other fish in the tank you shouldn't have water contamination problems...

    internal parasites vs. eggbound

Hello, I've had those angels for 6 years now and since two have died of the group of seven. I've had fish forever but had never faced the symptoms they showed. Maybe I was lucky up 'till now. One of them just wasted away, he still ate well but just got skinnier and weaker until he stopped...
