Blue Gourami's and 3-spot Gourami's are the same fish, just different names used by people.

yup, three-spot and blue gouramis are Trichogaster trichopterus - the same species. There are many variations as well that belong to the same species such as the gold gourami, ones without the spots as well as a pink/grey colored one which is the offspring of a blue and a gold!

I have a Blue, Gold and Opaline. I wouldn't mind getting other color variations but I already have enough in my 30 gallon.
