i recently baught a betta, he is whitish in colour but he has some black bits on him it looks like he has been rolling in mud, it dosent look like black spot, any ideas to what it could be, also he wont eat tuberfex what else can i give him to condition him

to be honest with you i dont buy from there anymore because i have had loads of fish that have died on me, they ere sick of seeing me because the fish are guaranteed, nxt time you buy have a good look in the tank that you want to buy from if there are dead fish or fish that look ill then go...

i have seen a 15litre plastic tank for sale at index it comes with an air pump, undergravel filter, plant, food, gravel and a lighted hood, do you think it would be ok to add a thermostat or would it melt any ideas i only want it for the fry

plecs are vegatarians, unles your fry are at the bottom of the tank then they may by accident, normally though the plec will warn the other fish to move out of its way by putting its fin up

do you have bogwood in your tank, this causes acid water, check your nitrate, ammonia and ph levels adding a small amount of salt can help to

yes angels do come in black, have you checked the ph balance and temp because angels are so fussy, i would also add some anti internal bacteria medicine to the tank just to be on the safe side with your other fish, the angels could have been infected in the shop, give it a few weeks then try...

fry look like tiny tadpoles, do you have catfish or clown loache in your tank if not i reccomend you get one or a couple because they will eat whatever they are in your tank and there good cleaners too

what i normally do is put a stocking over the trap then the fry dont get out, i would put her in now because if you move her later she could miscarry she will go mad for a bit but she will calm down they tend to go really mad when there giving birth doing summersaults and swimming upside down...
