Yea ammonia was at 0 at that time. Have had it up and running for about 5 months.

Initially it went cloudy, sort of milky and then went very very green. This lasted about 3-4 weeks. I did 80% water change followed by a 3 day blackout then another 80% water change. The water then stayed cloud, but i kept on doing my normal water changes and now is crystal clear.

Hi, im thinking about investing in some LED light for my tank. I am currently using and aquarium fluro that is the length of my tank. can LED's be used as your main light source? or would i be better off using the fluro? Is one better than the other for the fish or does it make no difference...

There are special chemicals you can get from aquarium shops that can improve your water. Go to your local aquarium shop and have a look what you can find. Even have a chat to one of the workers.

i suggest to scoop out some of your aquarium water out into a bucket and rinse your ornament in that. Make sure you DO NOT use any chemicals, aquarium water will be just fine. After you are done, tip the water you used down the drain. You dont want to contaminate your water :no: Hope this helps!

nope, no direct sunlight, its next to a window, but the curtains never get opened. They are also blockout curtains so they keep out the sunlight.

yea i woul have to agree with this. My clown loach loves to wedge himself in, well abosolutly anywhere, expecially when he gets scared. his favourite hiding place is in the top of a shipwreck i have in the tank. Wont even come out if i lift the shipwreck out of the water, just tries to wedge...
