This is the comparision of LED and T5HO (2white, 1 blue, 16Wx3) , The 18" LED is 50W (2white.1 blue) , You may find the differenance between both of them which works in the same conditions.

You can see the LEDs brings out the fluorescence of corals definitely.

Some additional pictures of the LED's Blue light mode and corals, that's fantistic!! It created a deep, beautiful Blue color and shimmer lines.

I would've expected 50W of LED to absolutely blitz 48W T5HO into oblivian.

My 37W (15 x 2.45W) of LED puts the previous 48W of T5HO into the obsolete technology pile brightness wise!!!

Are you sure that is 50W versus 48W? what type of LEDs are they. DIY or bought etc. details please ;)

It is 50W written on the top the LED, the LED has 2 white colour (12000K) tubes & 1 blue colour (462nm) with moon light.
I bought it from the online shop.

i prefer the T5HO (48W). looks more natural.

Maybe you used to see colour from T5HO, so you think the colour with T5HO is natural colour.
But I think the LED can bring the real colour from the coral that you never see.
It is very lovely. :good:
