if anyone is a serious fish fanatic, I would suggest ultra pura LXT pvc piping, which is for pure water because over time your pvc or abs will breakdown but LXT will stay pure forever, 1/2 pipe runs around 5 dollars a foot, lol, fittings (elbows and tees) about 25 each!

I wouldent know what to do when a fish is injured, i would keep her in a safe emergency pail or maybe another tank untill she is healthy, then maybe retry her in the tank, maybe you need more of that breed of fish, so they will stop going after just one particular fish

hmmm, is your tank close to the window or something? it could be to close to the outside air, or maybe your heater is malfunctioning somewhat, my temp goes up and down about 2 or 3 degrees, but ive never had it near 6!

what kind of food did you feed him? i havent tried pellets but it does seem like a good idea because most of my fish are top feeders.....I just use flakes and they swim to the top to get them

They seem to just like regular flake food, they don't pig out much, but a few flakes at feeding time, sure are enjoyable animals to watch!
