Is there anyway to repair or lessen the look of a scratch on the glass? I have no idea how its happened but on the inside of the tank there has been several scratches made. One even looks like a scuff. Could the fish have done this? I just do not understand because they werent there last night.

He may be moulting so its best to leave him alone. Disturbing him will cause alot of stress during this time and will kill him. When he has moulted, do not remove the moulted shell as he will eat it. Check out this site as its good for all things crabby...

There you go, like my tank back in the day, the tank relies on a heater. The thing I did (and I know its so easy in hindsight) is to wrap my tank in blankets if im away for more than a night or two.
