Good choice, far more active but i found water quality is quite key to them, regular water changes and a good variety of food keeps them happy! Rapheal are also lazy and dont tend to move much!

I know what you mean, this fish are hard to price as each LFS sells them at different values. What i think i will do for you is get a photo of him next to something of common size so you can see how big he is. i personally havent seen one this big for sell near me. You have a few of these do you?

really? the smaller fish attacking/harrassing catfish bigger than them? weird... my catfish and fish never bother each other. i would like them but gotta decide if i have the space in my tank first!

cos they are crap and get blocked with fish waste etc. if your keeping cichlids you seriously want to get an external filter too cos they are messy fish and eat hell of a lot so the water quality quickly becomes bad with the internal juwel filter and the filter cant cope with the waste produced.

you LFS will take it back and issue you a new better quality one and send the faulty one back to Juwel, it doesnt cost you or the LFS money it costs Juwel i done it, my LFS were more than willings to send it back for me
