Ive read of two different reasons for this, 1) They are trying to produce air bubbles. 2) They are trying to attract my attention to feed them. Is there any truth in these two possibilities or is it something else. It seems to be mainly my corry's, but my harlequins do it occasionally too.

Updated with yesterdays and todays results. Had my first 12 hr double zeros this morning :D . Hope this is the beginning of the end.

24 hours after the addition of the ammonia for now, then later through the cycle, when your feel you are nearing the end you will need to test every 12 hours.

This evenings results are normal, i added 1 teaspoon of bicarb after i had cleaned the filter this morning. Hence the higher Ph reading this evening.
