    Strange Tetra Behaviour

I don't think so, but I know what you mean. I have a Fluval 4 in the tank and it's directed along the top, the DHeads do this vertical swimming wherever they are in the tank and everyone else is very relaxed most of the time. It's quite tireing watching them!!!!!

    Hideing Corys

I have Pygmy Corys that love it behind the Fluval 2 and I have also seen the Cherry Barbs there as well. I tipped mine off at an angle for a while but realised that they had plenty of room to get out and it was better to have the filter at the proper angle for water movement.

    Strange Tetra Behaviour

Hi, I have a well established AR-850 [160 litres] with a variety of small fish, 2 Zebra Danio, 5 Silvertip Tetra, 8 Black Neon Tetra, 6 Cherry Barbs, 2 Peppered Corys and 5 Diamond Head Tetra. For the past week or so 2 of the DH Tetra have been behaving in a strange way, at first I thought they...

    Warehouse-aquatics.co.uk

Just have to say how quickly my order was dealt with, I have used them a few times but this week was exceptional......I ordered online on Thursday evening, a Fluval Filter and some Melafix and it has arrived this morning :good: Lynda

    Noisy Power Head

The filter is the one that comes with the tank {Aquastyle850} so will only attach to the one place under the trays and it is fitted totally square. The trays are not vibrating as it is noisy without them in place as well!!! Lynda

    Noisy Power Head

Hi I have had my Aquaone 850 set up for a week now and the power head noise is driving me crazy. I am also running a mature Aquaball from the previous tank until the new one is matured, but at this rate the Aquaball will stay. Is it normal for the PH to buzz and vibrate, I have taken it apart...

    Eco Complete How Much

Hi I have an Aquaone 510 which I will be using Eco Complete in, topped with sand as I will be having Corys. I'm not going to put the EC near the edges as I will not be planting there, but wonder how deep I should put the EC? 2 of my other tanks are sand but I'm hoping to have better planting in...

    Shrimp Behavior

Sadly both my shrimps have died, :rip: I now believe that the fact I put new plants in today may have been the cause, as I have discovered that some LFS put a copper solution in the water to kill snails. I will speak to them on Monday to confirm if this is correct, if not I am at a loss as to...

    Shrimp Behavior

Hi, I know there are no stupid questions but I think this is more inexperience. One of my Amano Shrimps in the 90 litre tank is lying on his back wiggling like crazy and doesn't want to be turned over-----I tried with a ruler----The Peppered Corys are head butting him occasionaly  but he...

    Whats You Background

Hi Thanks for the compliment  It is still a job in progress as the plants are quite new,[as is the tank]and I am finding my way but the mopani wood does look good, and the 6 Silvertips and 6 Peppered Corys seem to like it. Cheers Lynda

    Whats You Background

I personally feel it could be quite difficult fitting a background after your tank is established  knowing how hard it was empty  Lynda

Fish Dead, Think Ive Got A Problem

Hi Can I just ask why you are testing pH and high pH? If you have high pH it will always read at top level on the pH test and if you have normal pH it will read at the lowest on the High pH test. I am going on API test kit here, but you should probably only need the 'normal pH' test I would...

    Snails

Hi I'm sure you only need to feed once a day. Our pest snails came in with the first fish  but were under control quite quickly. When you are gravel/sand cleaning you may suck up a few tiny ones as well. Cheers

    Tanks With Plants And Corys

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but the line about corys being blown about prompted this I am new to having Peppered Corys --actually any Corys  --- but in my 90litre tank with lots of resting places and hidey holes the 6 Corys spend about 75% of their time lining up to get in...

I'm Getting My Biube Set Up Again! - I Need Some Ideas Of What

Hi, I'm probably a bit late replying to this thread  but as I recognise some of the contributors --they may know me as Lynda--I will add that lots of really small fish are very good in the BiUbe, the majority of mine are Dwarf/[Strawberry]Rasbora they only grow to about 1.5.cms and are...

    Yet Another Newcomer

Hi Evereyone, This is my first post here but I did follow the Fishless Cycling Thread and now have a happily inhabited Aquabay 80 :thanks: Unfortunately when I got my first tank I was ignorant about cycling and lost some fish along the way, [good old LFS] However I am now trying to spread the...
