Males will always get along fine with other males, regardless of colours. If there are females present, they may ( but not always ) chase each other occassionally, but this is rare and even when it does happen, it won't ever get too aggressive. B)

Too true, there must be about 10 - 15 snails within my tank and I don't think I've ever seen them out, not even once during the day. If you have any Loaches, especially the Clown's, they'll munch through them like butter. :)

Don't worry too much. As long as you haven't drastically overloaded on it each time, your fish and water will be fine.

Agreed, it's JetBlackness is really striking and makes it's red tail really gleam. A lot of people think it's actually related to the shark family, but it actually has nothing to do with a shark - except it looks like one with it's fins. B)

They are territorial only with their own kind, they make great community fish - they leave others alone and others leave them alone, it's a brilliant ' natural understanding ' !! :)

Sorry to hear about that, but keep your head up and see it as a beneficial mistake for the future. It's v. common, especially during water changes when the lid is off and the fish feel the current etc. How did it manage to escape ? Was your lid off at the time ?

That may be, but sometimes that just makes things even worse. I'm guessing a water change of about 40% as it's only a small tank and less lighting. Thats the trouble with coldwater, they can be v. messy .

I can't see too much of a problem with it personally, as you'll have all the beneficial bacteria, the only thing will be you won't have a filter in the ten gallon with its beneficial bacteria, will you ? You'll also need to re-fill your main tank obviously, but that will be fine, just make sure...

Firsty, have you done a water change recently ? Secondly, How many hours per day is you're light on for ? Thirdly, are you growing real plants, or just artificial ? Let us know mate, as these are probably your main causes !! :)

I also lost one of my clown loaches at the time to whitespot, but it's best looked upon as a beneficial experience, rather than an error. WhiteSpot usually catches out the owner the first time it strikes. :angry:

Yes, very true Crashed. The best way to restore back the orangeness and black in a ClownLoach is by water changes and simply allowing them to settle. Loaches as I've mentioned are very prone to whitespot, so good water quality with no ammonia / nitrite etc is important.
