Yeah, I get it, people on this site are paranoid about cycling. Got mature filter media from a friend to start my tank, not got a water tester so just adding fish periodically - will use the rough guide of 1 inch of fish to 1 gallon of water.

Recently set up my 1st aquarium with a 63L tank. Have so far introduced 7 Neon's and 2 male Guppies. Obviously I still have a bit of room left, but any ideas how I could make the best use of the remaining space?

Is it possbile your filter is too powerful for your small tank and dragging fish towards the filter? I'm sure a rock to hide behind would do no harm, and also that live plants will be fine.

Thanks, will bear that in mind. Have been told, rather ruthlessly, that as Neon's are not hardy and pretty cheap I should introduce them 1st in the knowledge that if they survived ok then the set up would be fine.
