I am toying with shelling out for a pressurised co2 system. I have just over 2 watts per gallon of light. my plants live but don't grow and i also have a little hair algae. If I fertilise and have co2 will I really notice a difference in plant grow rate and will it help rid the hair algae?

Thany-you - got it working now! The difference in water clarity is amazing and everything and more than i'd hoped for - crystal clear with very,very little free floating particles. 100% reccommend this filter so far. All I need now is to get my Co2 system on order!

How long does it take for an angel fish to grow from about 50p size to full grown?

My tank has just finished a fish-in cycle. I added 7 neon tetras 2 days ago and so far the water stats are still perfect - If I was going to see a pike due to the new fish when would this be most likely - how long do I need to wait before adding some more fish?

Just an update to let you know all is well with the fry - some seem to be developing quicker than others - I have probably lost about 4 out of the 40 odd so I am guessing this rate of loss is about normal??

I have the fine blue sponges at the bottom of my juwel jumbo filter - this is what it says in the instructions - is this wrong? My understanding is that the water flow is from top to bottom therefore the fine filter need to be lowest ?

I have 7 Zebra danios & 7 Mollies in a 350litre tank which is 3 weeks old. I'm testing the water daily but I am seeing no movement in either ammonia or Nitrite - they are both sitting at about 0.1PPM - Is this normal? Will they ever go any lower? I used seachem stability for the first week.

Are the Juwel internal filter no good then? I have just bought a Juwel Trigon 350 with the Juwel Jumbo filter.... I wasn't planning on buying an external filter either. By the way the filter is virtually silent.
