I actually used to have a cat tower I would raise a 5g bucket to to syphon the water back into the tank for water changes. Since I've gotten rid of the cat tower, I don't know what I should buy to do this since I have nothing that will raise the bucket higher than the tank. Any pump suggestions?

Yes I would be moving everything over, including the sand. Just adding more fish and plants. THe 250 would still be OK for this size tank you're saying? The other filter I have, from what I read would be WAYYYY to strong for a 72 gallon

I measured the dimensions....it was custom built, but not sure if it was professional. The bottom piece of glass is TWO PIECES. The frame is wood. Glass and wood are strong and thick, and where the glass is parted and siliconed there is a wooden "beam" supporting it connecting to the bottom...

Ive always managed to "overfeed" my fish. plus, I throw shrimp pellets and bottom feeder discs for my coreys..so they've been eating that, too!

It appeared and still does he gotten better. But upon my inspection tonight, it looks like the tip of his remaining fin has grown white fuzzy stuff at the bottom of it. I will do a water test and see how it looks tomorrow, cause it's 1130 here...anyone know what it might be?

I actually used a converter to see how many gallons it holds. That tank is 16wx15hx3d, the 10 is 37wx15hx4.5d. I also have an opportunity to use a wall mounted 10 gallon which is 4 inches deep, but they are heavy as anything, and I bet they are a pain. I wouldn't mind leaving my Eclipse 12...

Yeah, the Eclipse is a pain. THe hood replacement cost about $50. But, I will not downgrade him, But just get a new setup that isnt as build all in together as the eclipse....but not until he fully recovers! Any idea why some plants die?

Well, yeah...mine is the black half-circle type thing, with the carbon in it, and the blue sponge deal that goes around it. I just fought off Ick and had the carbon out, and before the Ick I had the tank up maybe 3-4 days...I inherited it from a friend. What else can I do for biological media?
