I've just had a rummage in the bottom of our tank cabinet and found a pack of Hagen Green-X which is supposed to remove nitrates, nitrites and phosphate, therefore stopping the growth of green algae. Now, we've had high nitrate forever and was wondering if this will do the trick. The only snag...

Righty ho. I've just tested the tank water and here's what I've got : Ammonia 0.5 ppm Nitrite 0.5ppm Nitrate 20ppm The ammonia and nitrite have dropped a bit but bear in mind I changed around 40% of the tank water about 2 hours before the test! :blink: :blink:
