Is Our Plec Ok?

Hi guys
We're a little bit concerned about our loverly plec .
A couple of days ago we noticed that his colour had fgone patchy and faded (see pic). Hope the pic shows it well enough for everyone to see. Cos we've been watching him a lot I noticed today that the colour only fades when he comes to the front of the tank. When he first comes out from behind his favourite hidey hole he looks pretty dark.
Anyone know whats goin on

I have a gibby at home and his colour can go like the plec you have
I don't think there is anything wrong with him if he is still active and eating fine.
It could have to do with what you are feeding him.

With my Gibby I have heard that pumpkin will bring out more of the orange in him and it does

What types of food are you feeding him?

Feeding him on your regular algea wafers with some cucumber for a treat
He's acting fine, eating ok, as active as he's always been. Maybe its just that new parent syndrome kinda thing, lol (He's our first plec....awwww!!)

I had a similar panic with my Common plec recently as he had gone patchy and his underside looked mottled. A couple of folk responded to say theirs did the same thing from time to time. Since then I have been watching him more closely and noticed that if he's disturbed he changes colour. Could be yours is doing the same.
