Hi all, In my tank i have Danios, walking catfish( getting rid of this weekend), talking catfish, platys, plec, fighters, spotted gourami, red shark, clown loaches, tiger barbs. Im thinking of getting an eel , what do you thing , good or bad idea?

Hi all, Was in my lfs when i saw some sort of glass sucking fish . When its on the glass it looks like a ray with a extra set of fins behind it. anyone know what it is?

Hi all , O.k i have tryed my hand at a planted tank, and failed. So i bought a load of fake plastic plants which was o.k for a while . Now they have turned horrible. SOOO. I need some help . I have bought some reflectors for the lights which has a made my 2 planted plants(only ones left)...

I feed mine every couple of days on peas. I pop them out of the shells in 2 halves and drop them in the tank they go mental for them. I tryed mixed veg but they were not interested lol.

The fighters seem to be all over each other. Still cant tell what the fry is .

Hi all, Just reading something about co2 in the tank. Is it true that having a spray bar or air stones has an effect on co2 in the tank. Should i point my spray bar away for the surface of the tank to preserve the co2 for my plants? I dont have co2 injection

Hi all , Can anyone recommend some sort of grass or moss type plant that will spread over the bottom of my tank. Something that will spread outwards not upwards. Want to create a grass field effect.

Got a seperate net enclosure for her and some liquid food. I have only found one so far by luck. Let you know what she is when she gets bigger, cant tell at the moment.

Hi all, Thinking of buying a UV steriliser can anyone recommend one . Also how should i set it up? Should i run it inline with my tetratec 1200 , or run it with a slow pump .?

Just turn the spray bar knob down to half like i have on my 40 gallon tank.

Its up to you but i transfered the media from my internal filter to my tetratec 1200 and the tank went into a mini cycle. The readings went really high , took a week to get them back to normal, lucky not to lose some fish.

Hi all, Notice something strange in the tank today . Looks like cobwebs on the bogwood. Any know what that is ? is it bad? best way to get rid of it?

I have tetratec 1200 , really good. Run the 2 filters together for 6 weeks ish. Then take out the box with a knife . sand is o.k just place the intake from the filter a couple of inches above the sand.

I have a tetra 1200 and the pipes do the same to me . I have a long wire pipe brush which i use to clean them ever couple of months. An idea. I think that you can get green coloured piping maybe that might help.

I also have a Tetratec 1200 for my 180 liter tank . Great filter , easy to set up, silent running, cant fault it. When i upgrade to a bigger tank i might buy another one .

I had the same thing but they are gone now. Dont know what they are.

I would do a 10% water change every day untill levels drop to normal levels. I personally think adding chemicals can cause problems later.
