Hi all ,

Over the last few months i have a few missing people from my tank.

I am asking you experts to tell me WHO is guilty?

The missing: 2 shrimps, 2 shrimps the aggressive ones with claws, 2 platties, 1 crab, 1 brissle nose cat .

The suspectsanios, walking catfish, talking catfish, platys, plec, fighters, spotted gourami, red shark, clown loaches, tiger barbs.


Be the jury for me.

Depending on the size of the shrimp, I would say they all could be suspects (though not the platties and plec really). I think my money would be on the catfish, though not ruling out the clown loach (notorios invert feeders).

If the shrimp, platty, crab and BN fell to the same fish, then I would say the catfish would be my best bet again.

Its strange a plec went missing though, are you sure you just can't find it (same with shrimp - they are good hiders). Plecs are armoured and have spines so I would have thought it would have been left alone.

If thats your fish then theres your fish/shrimp eater, thats a pretty hardcore predator you've got in there, they'll eat anything.

The brissle nose was half eaten, the platies missing , crab missing , shrimps all missing.

He was only small had no fins left. He went to the toilet in the sky

If the tanks not big enough aggressive fish will become more aggressive and pick fish off for lack of space in the tank.

Ok then which fish could've killed which.

Danios - Could've taken the shrimps.
Walking catfish talking catfish - Could've taken anything really.
Platys - Nothing
Plec - Hmm I doubt it's killed anything.
Fighters - Anything but the crab and maybe the bn.
Spotted gourami - The shrimps
Red shark - The shrimps.
Clown loaches - The Shrimps, loaches are not suitable with inverts.
Tiger barbs - The Shrimps.

The Crab could have attacked your fish, then died. The Bristlenose may be hiding (how big is it?)

my thoughts exactly.... clarius are not exactly community fish!!!
