Yes the filter is just for biological filtration, I would probably run the other filter as mechanical and the wet and dry as biological?

OK this is slightly bemuddling :), IIRC there's a gap at the rear of the cupboard to allow room for hoses etc., I think the only model available is the two cupboard and a gap type now!

I think you are meant to have 6 discus as a minmum as they are a shoaling fish.

Looks like to a good piece of kit, I always use to time my gravel cleaning with my filter clean, and then just hook up my gravel cleaner to my filter in pipe, then clean it out after!
