Those "purple musrooms" might be corraline algae, pretty much the only algae you want. If it's flat against the rock, its corraline, if it's raised a little (with a small gap between rock and object) then it could be a mushroom coral. Mostlikely corraline though, LR usually allways has corraline...

Thanks, I'm working on getting SG down to were I want before getting anymore rock or fish (or coral) I'm starting to see more algae growing, which I want for now since its a new tank. At least now I know the tank is doing well (cept SG...grr)

I looked at the website in your sig, thats a carribean blue, it doesn't look anything like a pacific blue. Pacific blue looks like Dory from "finding Nemo".

IMO, I would say, mix the water in a bucket, stirr it real good. Let it sit for a while, stirr again. let it sit for a little while longer, then before you put it into the tank, stirr it one last time.

Yea, damsels and clowns are close cousins cause they are the only fish that can stand the stinging of anemones. Thats gotta be fascinating to see a damsel use an anemone... can you give us a pic of the damsel useing the anemone???

When I put it at the bottom, it opened more for some reason. This is one wierd coral...If its at the top, its contracted, if its in the sand, its inflated some.

Did you get a fish from the store, and a few days later, its dead? Is the fish's offspring deformed? Does the fish act very wierd, mostly not swimming much? Your fish might have cyanide poisoning. Heres an article on this. Click here to see article.
