i use dried bloodworm maybe i should stop :S my female seems to love them though she always flairs at me and swims up and down the tank trying to get my attention until i give her some and i always find that a cude of frozen bloodworm is way to much food and end up wasting pretty much all of it :S

well i know it sounds a bit stupid but i have always wondered and never known and on ebay you can sell fish and not any other animals and i know you cant ship animals in from other countries into the uk with out a lisence [spelling?] but i was wondering if you can ship fish into the uk from like...

i love your betta he is stunning but i never go to pets at home i hate it they are dreadful were i am they told me i could have african cichlids with bettas and all sorts :S they are mad in my opinion but awsome betta love it

thankyou germ i have heard that salt baths should only be used if fungus appears to become present so i am keeping the water conditions as well as i can and he is making a fast recovery his big cut on his gill has started to heal up really well and he seems to be happy thanks again everyone you...

ok thank you for all your fast replies :) but the only thing which confuses me is that i use to have a male and a female together in a community tank way back and they got on fine maybe just an agressive one this time :S i will get the male in a tank of his own as he is such a good looking lad...

well the shop i brought him from had him in a cup of water so i was a little wierd about that and i hav a heater but i have fry in the tank with the second heater in but i wil try and get a heater asap and thank you so much for your fast reply i supose i wil just have to hold on and wait for...

i would like to start an african cichlid tank i have a 180 L tank and i was wondering if any one had any sugestions of what fish i could have in it and what setup i should have ect.

thats wierd i dont know whether it makes a differance but i got a male and female dwarf gourami about 2 or 3 months back and i havent had a single problem with them :S they are happy and look great i just hope i dont come over any bad patches but to be honest i would stick with the gouramis but...

i have three pregnant swordtails and i hav put them into a small 18 L tank for them to give birth and today 1 of them has given birth to 3 fry but they all stil have a gravid spot does this mean 1 of them has more to come soon or what? also should i leave the 3 females in this tank with the fry...

well she should normaly have an orange dorsal and tail fin all over it but she has got white blotches on her dorsal fin she has all the tip of it is white and it goes down her fin for about 4 mm and in her tail fin she has got a big white circle and it has no texture and isnt fluffy so it cant...

can any one help me my female swordtail who is pregnant has two white blothces one on her tail fin at the top and on her dorsal fin it is like two colourless patches can any one help :crazy:

now i really dont know what to do my betta i thought didnt have something so bad but now i have realised it has got a fungus all over its body and it keeps floating to the top of the water and keeps twitching is it as good as dead or what can any one help me....

and do you think after this if i can clear him back up to normal do you think he will be ok for breeding because befor this thing on him came on i was just about to breed him... so do you think he will be alright for breeding if i can clear it up?

yes i can in the last couple of hours i have been setting up an aquarium for him and do you recommmend any type of medication in particular ?

my tank is filtered properly and i found him with this two nights ago but it was only a very small patch but it has got alot bigger now and i am very worried about him :S i do water changes once amonth 1/3 of the water and no he doesn't seem very fluffy but at the grey bit towards the bottom...
