Just thought, as I've read the instructions for the fungus medication. Will one day and one water change be enough to get rid of enough salt so I can use the fungus medication? As the medication states it should not be used with salt.

I've tried some algae wafers before now. Ended up with the same result. Next day I wake up to find a balloon swordtail. My job means I have to get up at 4am anyway, so will try popping a few pellets in then. See if she's asleep and doesn't notice them.

I've got some Interpet velvet treatment. But the tank still has some Meth blue in it. I've done 2 50% water changes and the water still looks pretty blue. Will I have to make sure all the Meth Blue has gone or can I add the interpet treatment now?

It does say on the Meth box that it is a treatment for velvet. However, if I want to get a velvet specific treatment, would it be advisable to try and get rid of the Meth Blue first? Or can different treatments be added at the same time to the one tank?

Thanks for the welcome. Roughly a 30 gallon tank. I have looked for more Columbian tetras but that particular type of tetra doesn't seem to be a commonly stocked one among the aquatic stores round here, which is Colchester, Essex.
