What kind of sand did you use?

Well... i wasn't going to use CO2. Just stock it with low light plants. Use sand as a base. Dunno what kind of fish to put in it. Maybe some kind of Tetra.

It's a 29 gallon planted tank. (I want to eventually get a 40-49g bow front tank) I have 2 rainbows (1 female & 1 male) and 1 molly that was born in my tank. Also, i have 2 plecos.. ones about 5 inches the other is about 6.

I know I've asked this before.. but i can't seem to remember what everyone said. :blush: Anyways... could anyone tell me, again what other types of fish i could keep with Rainbows and Mollys?

Just 1 angel fish. It's my friend's Moms and she isn't taking care of it. It's in kinda a small tank but not too bad. But the inside is all green and gross and he's a little beat up looking. I have the regular 29 All glass aquarium. And it's a planted tank. So, I think it would enjoy my tank...

You should get he/she some live plants... like, duckweed, water lilies, frogbit, anacharis...etc. Pretty much anything that you can have in a pond you can have with turtles. Maybe some sand in the bottom of the tank, my brothers two adult RES looove to dig in the sand. Make sure you don't...

It's been about 6 months..

Ever since I switched from my regular 1 UVB light to 2 Zoo Med - Tropic-Sun 5500K Warm white's my plant's haven't been doing as well... could anyone tell me why??

You could use sand as a substrate.. my brothers turtles love to dig in it. Maybe yours would too. Or you could use med sized gravel, don't use small sized cause they could inhale them and choke. You could go to a hard ware store and buy play sand for cheap, but you have to rinse it very well so...

His are medium sized, he's had them for about 4 years now and hes has them with the same fish and they haven't tryed to eat any of them. I guess his are just that nice.

My brother keeps 2 big gold fish with fancy tales in his take with his 2 red eared sliders. Also there are baby Kribensis in the bottom that are about 1"-3" long and they don't eat them at all. They only eat the food pellets and treats he gives them.

I was wondering about the molly's because a while back ago i bought 2 of them and i guess i got a male and a female cause i ended up with a baby fry. The female died after giving birth... now the little fry is almost full grown and she looks pregnant (isnt that bad if its by its own dad?).. and...

My brother is going to be getting an 80 gallon tank.. do you think i put them in his tank with his turtle? The turtles are really nice and leave the fish in the tank now alone.

I don't really know witch kind of pleco it is.. it might be common but they haven't grown much since i got them about a year and a half ago.

I wouldn't put turtles in a fish tank. You should have a tank for the turtle then add some fish. But look up what types of fish you can keep with them, I know you can put Kribensis Chichlids in there. My brother keeps about 20 of them in his tank with his 2 red eared sliders. You can have...
