ok well gold fish and tropical fish cant be in the same tank because tropical fish will need a heater to keep the water warm and goldfish are coldwater fish so they won't have much of a great life in a warm tank. So you might want to rehome the goldfish before you do anything else to the tank...

I am not sure I am so not prepared for this right now lol but i think that im going to hold off buying new fish for a couple of weeks and see if the water is ok to get some more fish

I started cycling my 20 gallon fish tank about 4 days ago and the ammonia keeps getting higher each day. It hasnt dropped at all I havent gotten nitrite and nitrate tests yet but I will on the weekend . so far the readings for ammonia have been.... Day 1 Day 2...
