I always cut any leaves out that have the algae on but it just keeps coming back. It is also oll over the plastic on my filter. My Nitrate level is 0 and my light tube is a triton bulb which is about four months old.

I have an algae problem in my tank. It is furry stuff that looks like tufts of grass and i cant get rid of it. It is worst on my broad leafed plants where it forms tufts all around the edges of the leaves making the plants look furry. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?
