treating ick with rummy nosed tetras

OK, here's the story... I had a DISASTER happen with my tank  Following protocol, upon purchasing two new clown loaches for my single guy, I placed them in quarantine for about 10 days and treated the ick they ALL seem to carry. -_- After what looked to be the all clear I transferred...

Piranhas before they moved into the 20

Wow Mike! Awesome, as usual. It seems SO weird to see these guys in a tank! We took our honeymoon in the Amazon Jungle and actually fished for these guys right out of the amazon river and ate them. :*) Pretty tasty...sorry, don't be offended, just thought you will probably not ever try one...

    Tiny organisms on dirtwood

Hmmm....interesting. I don't think I can help you much. I am on my second piece of driftwood to date. I have a pleco that LOVES to suck on the thing and he finally sucked right through the first piece (It took about 3 years), so I just replaced it about a month or two ago. I have never had the...

Where do upside down catfish hide?

Hi! I purchased an upside down catfish over the summer and thought I'd get hours of fun watching this interesting creature. I didn't see him since the first week I bought him and assumed he must have perished. Then out of the blue after 2 and a half MONTHS of not seeing one tiny glimpse of the...

    45 gallon in-wall tank

Actually caring for it is quite easy! Since the access is in the back through cabinet doors, in the bathroom to boot, I just need a bucket and a siphon. Since I'm already in the bathroom, it makes it real easy. I have to confess, I don't do water changes all that often. I have a monster fluval...

    Where do you come from

I'm a Mom and a Landlord in Florida. I used to be an Executive Producer for a company that works with local governments before I had my daughter. Now I'm happy being home with my 3 year old, and trying to find decent human beings to move into my rentals. So, I post whenever I have time (just...

    45 gallon in-wall tank

Awww shucks! Thanks guys  I'll post a couple more pics to get a better perspective of the wall thing. It is actually in my breakfast nook. Most people don't notice it is a tank (they mistake it for an art picture) until they are sitting and eating and see fish swimming! I took a peek...

    45 gallon in-wall tank

Feline, No stupidity ;) Yes, it is built into the wall. It is framed out inside the wall and is braced by a 2X4 stud frame. Then sheetrock goes right up to it and it is framed out with moulding. There is access to it and the filter equipment through two cabinets behind it in another room...

    Hi newbie here

Just wanted to say hi and that I'm new here. Got a 45 gallon in wall tank of mostly tetras and danios that I've had for about 4 years and a 10 gallon breeder/hospital tank that we've just recently started using to breed long-fined leopard danios. Looking forward to sharing and reading! Nikki
