    Diy 75x42x40 Cm

Thanks every one. Joecoral is right, it's redmoor wood, there are pictures of it in my 150L thread. I got it locally, but Aqua Essentials have some. Making a tank is easy, it is just a bit intimidating because it involve glass and water. Silicon is very strong, even if you mess thing up, a...

    Diy 75x42x40 Cm

After the leak of my 150l I decided to do a rimless aquarium. The old cabinet had to be trimmed and resprayed to accommodate the new one. The dimensions are 75x42x40 cm and 8mm thick. The glass degreased, cleaned and masked. Assembly. Drying with a bit of water to keep the humidity...

    Juwel Rio 125

Hi George, Very nice, it will grow in a very attracting aquascape. Interesting blog to. The tank look much better with out the hood. Do you know the concentration of N/P in TPN+? I use it in a 12L with EasyCarbo (no CO2) and it's going pretty good so far, great product.

    Eleocharis Parvulus

I cut it once or twice a month at about a inch, to give some water circulation and it seam to avoid algae even if the carpet is very compact. I am at six month with out having to replant it or algae.

    Alex's 150l

Thanks every one. I let the tank down the past two weeks, work, parties etc... la vie quoi! ;) . I run out of CO2 the 2kg and 5kg bottle and was to lazy to get up the morning to get them refile, so most of the time it's been running with no light or just 2x24W. But it is not to bad and the good...

Thanks, but I only enter AGA for the fun and the comments of the jury. This aquascape will never win anything, there is nothing new, easy plants etc... and I think the level will be quiet high this year. The only way I can win some thing is if Cyprus do an aquascaping contest and I will probably...

You are welcome. Nry, answer the question pretty well. The lilly pipe do a good job for braking the protein film with out degazing to much witch anyway does bother me to much as to refill of my 5Kg bottle cost CY£10 and CY£5 for the 3kg.

I don't know, will see, thanks anyway. Thanks George. I prune it every two weeks and to be honest I don't know why because in my previous scape I never pruned it. No but I think the days are counted now, it is very dense and I don't really know how long I am gone get away with it. Ha la...

Wow, Thanks Sam, that's a very nice comment to say. Thanks Mlawson, no I did not enter this aquascape, but I did enter the previous one, the one in my sign (you can click on it and see much more great aquascape). Thanks , but don't be jealous, it's only plants. ;)

    Dwarf Hairgrass

If you really want drawf hairgrass, go for the Eleocharis Parvula and not for the Accicularis which grow up to 20cm. I can not tell you where to get them because I got mine from AE few month back when Richard was still selling plants , but I think Bistrall (speeling?) sell Tropica plants.

Here are the news, I redone most hove it. I broke my lilly pipe a couple of weeks ago, at 3am and got a nice shower. My harms was to short to stick my finger on the bit of pipe left and with the other hand open the cabinet and pull the plug of the 2028... I had to let it go... I must I...

    Ordering Plants

Try to find a supplier who sell emersed plants, that will help a lot. Few times I received plants from the UK and France who got stock in the post. for just over a week. The lost are big and some time I lost 100% of a specie. Over my head here are a few plants that I remember took a week to...

    Alex's 150l

@ Themuleous. Thanks for your input. Do you think the wood was better in the first picture? I do agree the wood look a bit bulky. It still floating a bit so every time I knock it has tendency to go up. To be honest, I start to be tired to mess with it (a month). If I don't manage some thing...

    Alex's 150l

Hi George, Of course you may, I am glad you did. Thanks for your comments. I agree with you about the wood, things need to be improved. I bought 5/6 pieces of this wood and thought it will be more or less a piece of cake to do the hardscape. Well... I was wrong. You're right as well for...

Thanks Liam, I now use Purigen, That's maybe why the pictures look better. I don't think my photography skill did improve. The wood is maybe a bit to center but I tried a bit more on the left an it wasn't right either. The Arcuata will be the focal, there is also some Najean in front of...

Thanks Corin. Thanks Sam, I agree with you. I forgot to mention that the aquascape is two weeks hold. So the bush never been trimmed. There is some Crypt and Accicularis on the left, witch need to grow. I am thinking as-well to move the wood a inch or two to the right. The problem with the AM...

Hi evry one. I open a new topic here, which is a more appropriate place than the one before. My last aquascape for reminder: Alex's 150L v1 I replaced my Prodac substrate by 5L of Tropica substrate and 36 Tropica capsules. I added two Giesemann PowerChrome T-5 aquaflora. So now the light is...

Hello everyone and thank you for the comments. Corin is right, the foreground is Eleocharis Parvula. @ syntax-error: On the wood there is 2 ferns (Microsorum Pteropus and Microsorum Pteropus "narrow") and the moss is Peacock Moss.

A photo from today. As you can see the synchronisation of the grow after cutting, did not go well. I almost lost all my Arcuata to. Hover shadowed, I think. That is why she is planted in the middle of the Eleocharis, just to save the little I have left. But, I just got that.... So, I give...

    Elocharis Acicularis Dwarf Hairgrass

Yes, it is Eleocharis Acicularis that George used in his nano. I would say Eleocharis Parvula is more adapted to do a foreground carpet as it stay low and don't need to be trimmed. The Eleocharis Acicularis is better as a middle ground plant. The only difference apart the height is the way they...
