I had this problem too - I searched on google for "deltec mc500 micro bubbles" coz I was having that problem and I found a message from Deltec, they say they have had numerous people asking about these problems and they say it is due to immature water on a new set up .... the solution is to...

thanks, but I took the skimmer out - remove the pump, made sure all okay and air pipe on tight, put it all back together, put it in the tank and now no bubbles!!!

I've got a hairy crab roamin about too - from the sounds of it I wont even try to catch it!!!

unfortunately there are a few of them - one big one about 1 inch one small about 1cm and about another 5 tiny tiny ones all on different rocks, I think I will try and get Joes Juice.... :sick:

I have recently set up my tank - the skimmer was running fine, then I did a small water change when changing some media in my external filter. Now I cant stop the micro bubbles coming out from the side - the instructions say to adjust the air flow - I have tried this but it hasnt worked...

Probably a stupid question but I have a 2nd hand set up & I got no instructions with the filter. I want to open it up to replace the carbon that is in it with a phosphate remover instead. Do I need to put the filter over a bucket or is there a water leak proof way of opening this and changing...

I have just read it and decided to try the boiling water method! just squirted it and it has now shot back in its hidey hole!!!! oh well! I feel so cruel! :-(
