My pleco does the exact same thing. At feeding time I turn off my undergravel filter and my power filter and he swims too the top, even before I start feeding. He's ready to eat!! He eats so many flakes its crazy! He doesn't eat algae anymore, just flakes. He's been doing it for years!

His fins are actually realy nice, its just a bad picture, He wouldn't be still. I told him I would give him some nice betta treats if he did, no luck. I'll take another picture so everyone can sleep easy at night knowing he's safe ;)

I like feeding the fish blood worms, yet the ones they miss endup living in the gravel and multipling like crazy. :crazy: I just got Dwarf frongs two weeks ago, maybe the dwarf frogs will eat them.... Grave??? The betta has been fine so far. I've had many bettas in the tank in past years no...

I've been watching the betta and paradise and they've been just fine, totally ignoring eachother. As far as the rainbow, how can I get more vibrant color? I've been feeding them with Wardley Total Spectra Max. Thanks!
