I've been told you need approx 1 watt per litre of water. Your 10g tank is about 38L. So a 50watt heater should be fine. A 25watt would struggle in cold ambient temps I believe.

I've fed my Mollie fry crushed flakes fron the start. They soon catch on and even when they are small they latch on to any big piece and give their tail a flick to break it up. I think fry have some clever instincts. If there is food in the water they wont go hungry...
