Ok well the fry have started free swimming so I removed dad yesterday and fed some BBS but I cant tell if they are eating of not!! Today I tried some of the boiled egg yolk. They are swimming around on top but I cant tell if they are eating. Can YOU tell when your fry are eating?

Well I woke up to find my bettas spawning! It looked like there was already about 50 eggs in the nest and I watched them have about another 50.I then had to leave to go walk my dog but when I got back about 2 hours later they were still going at it.Now 2 more hours later they are done and I...

Uh...I dont really get the point of that last post :S

My baby fry are 4 days old and are begging to fall from the nest and swim a bit.They swim some then sink.then swim again.Dad puts them back in the nest as soon as he sees them. Should I let him do this? If so for how long? Or should I take him out and let the babies fall and swim?

Ok babies are swimming somewhat but dad still insist on them in the nest. I got some liqifry is that ok for them?

Ok here is an update: Mom is back in her own tank happily eating BS. Dad has moved the eggs to a new nest he built across the tank. And guess what?? They have hatched!! I saw about 3 fall from the nest and dad quickly put them back up!! Hopefully there will only be a few babys as this is my...

Yay my bettas spawned late last night!!! I was there to see!! At first she had about 10 eggs but sadly he ate them (why did he do that?) Then she went to go hide so I figured they were done but when I woke up his nest was full of eggs!! But I caught him eating some (should I take him out?) Mom...

They are very nice but I have learned my lesson about buying from Walmart. :grr:

Two of my betta bowls have sand and I do full changes once a week and I dont have any problems with cloudyness.

I know it seems VERY time consuming and expensive. I would love to breed but I guess its not meant to be right now. I will probably when I move out and get my own place.
