    MAJOR EMERGENCY -

It sounds to me like septicemia. My fish has just recovered from it and here are some other symptoms: Shredded fins, dark red patches around fins and anus, brusing on the face and under the mouth. To treat my septicemia, I quarantined my fish and dosed it with melafix, changing all the water...

    flukes

Okay well there is no need to make 2 threads for a start. Salt sounds like a good solution, when giving them a bath, just watch how they are going, any troubles, take them out. I'm not certain about tropical species so i'm not sure the exact length. -_- I don't quite get this one, you...

    Fluke or gill rot

My problem is very similar to this, but with my fancy goldfish. Shes having swim bladder problems, and she can't stay balanced. So far i've treated her with Melafix, Salt, rapid white spot remedy (she had some ich, gone now) broad spectrum anti fungal (because the melafix and salt aren't doing...

what do pregnent agelfish look like

Well yes a big belly is a sign of pregnancy, but there is a chance you just have a fat fish on your hands  Angelfish need special conditions for spawning I believe so if you haven't tried to make it spawn with another angelfish you might just have a fat fish. Henry

Lol! One way to piss of your fish!

Maybe its ultraviolet -_- or maybe not  even if it is ultraviolet, the sterilising effects only cause fish to become more susceptible to disease.

yes, I can adjust it for a more gentle flow. Don't I add the salt into a seperate container and then bath him in that? And leave his bucket with freshwater?

Please Help me in desperate need of advice

 okay thanks, oh and regarding his water. He goes up for air every now and then. This could just be him wanting food, but how often should I change his 6 litres of water? Also should I jam an airstone in there? His dorsal fin is still up which to me is a pretty good sign. Henry

Please Help me in desperate need of advice

Hes a tough fighter fish, but he looks pretty bad. Should I use the recommended dosage of salt for 10 minutes? How soon will I see the results? Oh no! I'm out of peas. Are there any other vegetables that to give the same result? I will post results shortly

    Sick Mollie

I recall mollies being slightly delicate and prefering saltwater. For me when I first started out they where hard to keep. Isolation might help, at least so she doesn't give whatever she has to other fishies in the tank.

Please Help me in desperate need of advice

Yes well in retrospect they aren't really cuts. They appear more like bruising, all under his head, by the sides of his head. Because the fact is, hes not bleeding, so that has to be the closest thing to it. Its reakly read near his fin joints etc. The fungus, may be infecting the cuts. -_- I...

    Whats going on?!

Thanks heaps for the good advice, feel free to call me Henry!! I dont think its overstocked... dream tank

those tiget barbs might nip your gouramis, and gouramis themselves are not schooling fish, they will probably hide and you wont see them much... I advise not putting anything with a long tail in with the tiget barbs. Henry
