You can have a small amount of salt in his tank as well, so it's still working on him, it's just at a lesser dose, you can't keep them long in a high dose of salt long, half a teaspoon to his gallon and abit.

You got him in the bucket, won't he jump out,half a teaspoon in there not in the tank if you have issolated him.

Okay thankyou so much for all of your advice. I will get some salt ASAP. I'll also get some melafix

The buckets a 14 litre, even with his full strength he'd be hard pressed to jump out.

Add the melafix to his living quarter if you won't instead of the salt, good luck, but you will have to do the salt baths.
