I can’t keep them alive! At all!

Your issue sounds weird to me. Siamese fighting fish are one of the hardest out there some people say if you throw these in a muddy paddle these can survive. Your test image looked fine to me you don't have any nitrite and for me usually means low ammonia also, since nitrite is the cycle step...

Hi all have major problem with my community tropical aquarium

They might work together :) he might stress these to death and the shrimps clear of the evidence. I owned different gurami in the past and their behaviour differ. I had an aggressive gurami chasing smaller fish and even eating neon, currently I have a very frightened dwarf gurami that is even...

Ammonia level won’t go down. Please help

Keep making water changes. Search and remove dead plants, dead fish. Do you have any big snails inside? These are notorious ammonia bombs if they die in smaller tanks. I am using test stripes which contain multiple tests. It's convenient cause it shows also nitrates nitrite in the water. Having...

    Sick Guppy, need help!

Yea.... the good bacterial that breaks down ammonia develop inside your filter. I just clear the sponges on mine when it does not drain any more and that's it. I use to have in the past and now on my new tank apart from the sponge, some filtering material which acts like bacteria colony to make...

    Sick Guppy, need help!

Too bad to hear mate..... Is the nitrates still high in the bad tank? Since you have so many tanks I would suggest to move the fish for the nitrate ones to the planted one temporarily and then empty the one with the ammonia and set this again.

Store bought sea shells in marine tank?

Yea as everyone else said boil the shells. If these smells as you said then the ex residents are still inside what I used to do is to dry these in the sun for a long time 2 months or so until there is no more smell on these and then definitely boil these again to kill any microbes.

    Sick Guppy, need help!

Since you got multiple tanks maybe you can make one of then quarantine tank and have all the healthy fishes on the other. Regarding ammonia there is usually a reason for this, overfeeding, overpopulation dead plants or dead fishes or dead snails can boost this very quickly if not removed. If...
