no, i wouldnt use it if you phone the chemist they may be able to track you down some pure ammonia... just tell them thats what you need. pure, 100%, no added perfumes etc. i had to go through a lot of chemists in the phone book, but did get one that was willing to order me some of the stuff...

ottos are a great addition to an established tank. they create just a tiny amount of waste, being so small so they dont overload your tank they eat a ton of algae, as well as any of the larger algae eaters would and they're totally peaceful, perfect for a community tank

ok how many blood worms do you feed per betta? i have two wee bettas, they're both about three months old should i feed them one worm each, twice a day? or two worms? or lots more?? its just... i tend to feed them one or two... but its such a waste of a packet of bloodworms, because once...

yep, i would get someone to do a change and you watch them practice even with a filter the ammonia and nitrites would build up over a couple of weeks because the tanks wouldnt be cycled.

i would have to vote for otos as the best algae eaters for a small to medium size tank... they're really peaceful, and can eat an amazing amount of algae. although they are sometimes said to be fragile, i have found in my experience that if they survive the first few weeks they will thrive and...

goldfish will eat just about anything in my experience! i feed my dojo algae disks... however, my greedy fantail zooms over and steals them when he gets the opportunity!

aw sorry to hear about your betta crank. have you tested for nitrites.... the symptoms remind me of nitrite poisoning

yep i would keep him on his own and let him have the run of the tank i had a betta with two panda cories in an 8 gal before and he terrorised them! poor wee things had to be moved. he was a really grumpy betta tho
