Ok I've got a slightly better picture today. You can see the fins much better in this one. Also I don't think the fish is bloated, the hardly ate yesterday and it looks the same.

Yup the gold in the pic is one of mine. I won't experiment since I wouldn't want to risk injuries, if I get a female betta I'll probably just put her in a 1/2 gallon like my male betta. Thanks for the help. ----------------------------------

How old are you gouramis? They may just be getting some color as they age. My blue gourami has a tiny red coloration on his eyes and I'm pretty sure it's normal (or possibly spawning color on yours?)

It's possible, they may have just been "called" Skunk Loaches. I'm guessing the ones i saw were probably just a morph of a clown loach since it was so similar. I wish I could dig up the website to show, if I find it I'll post the link.
