    Sick guppy

I do have strip tests that I use, & with the shop saying my water was ok, I'd checked in two ways I thought. But we went back & told them and some of the tanks were under quarantine which kind of suggested it was an illness from the fish. They excepted responsibility but obviously doesn't help...

    Sick guppy

Thank you for the really useful info. My dad had this tank while I was growing up and always had guppies, even having babies so I always thought they would be fine. I would be a shame not to have them in my tank but I still have my old one which is a 30 litre bio orb, Sent from my iPhone...

What Type Of Livebearers Do You Keep,

I got 6 male guppies, 6 neon tetras, a rainbow shark, 2 rabbit snails & a baby shrimp. Everyone spends ages looking for the shrimp which is quite funny. I'm hoping to get some more fish in a few week but I do look guppies and going to get some endlers xx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sick guppy

Ok cheers I've got some water ready for another water change today. The fish seems ok today which is strange. It can be quite hard to tell what colour the water testers are. Hopefully he will be ok. I feed them a pea yesterday incase it was bloated. All the others seem fine Sent from my...

Planning for 38-gallon community tank, looking for advice!

Guppies, tetras, mollys, platties are all great community fish and I find them easy to keep happy. Also snails & shrimp, and small Cory catfish not pleco cos they get big ( can have them but take up a lot of your fish count. I have a rainbow shark that gets on ok with my guppies & neon tetras...

    Sick guppy

Hi I have had my tank up and running for 2 months now, I live in Sheffield with soft water, have a 4foot tank 160 litre /43 gal, I have had the water tested & they sed it was great (didn't ask for exact figures.) I have 6 male guppies, 1 of which I've had for one & half years (which is the one...

    New 20 gallon tank

Hi I'm no expert but I've had a 43 gal tank for the last 2 months & a 30ltr bio orb before that. I've found out most of my info from either my dad (who gave me the tank) or on Internet & fish shop. I find it easier to go for community fish, I have 6 male guppies, 6 neon tetras, 2 rabbit snails...

    New to fresh water

As far as amount of fish goes, it's 1 inch of fish per 12 square inch of surface water. I'm no expert but I'd imagine tropical to be easier to set up than marine. I have a 4ft tank at 160 litre, I find easy starter fish (community fish) are guppies, tetras, molly's, plates, snails & shrimp. I...

    Guppy illness

My red guppy has started lying on the bottom of the tank, he's normally active like all guppies, but doesn't show any other signs of illness. There was loads of white wispy clouds of stuff on the surface of water this morning & the glass was cloudy so I did a water change, scooped off the top...
