Sounds like a comb tail which is a veil and ct cross as you said.MM

next time just dont give him as much..I even soak my pellets before hand then measure out the size accordingly. They get bloated on dried food, it can cause swimbladder problems too with too much food. MM

Salt can also cause your betta to go into kidney failure. reduce stress...it just seems to me that adding salt to a fresh water fish not used to salt would cause more stress. MM

I usualy treat mild fin rot with jungle fungus eliminator it works pretty good and it already has salt in it. For worse cases m1..m2..and maroxy..the three can be safely combined. sever cases I use kanamyacin dont mix with anything else. Melafix speeds up fin regrowth after the rot is gone IMO...
