peas

:D Hiya yes you have to peel them take them out of there shells then just pop them in. My fish love them and it's great for them to keep the old pipe work moving . It's always best to feed them either fresh or frozen as tinned pea's have additives especially salt. :S

Best wishes Shanna

My female actually preferes peas over anything else I feed her including the blood worms! :hyper: Hence her name, Pea Princess.

Dont give them a whole pea...break it up into bite size pieces then give them 3 or 4 pieces. MM

The usually broke up on their own. Pooky ate two whole peas! I think he might be a pig disguised as a fish. Saburo took a few bites and ignored it, and Aka and Dacey wouldn't eat any at all. Picky little things.

Thanks for the compliments, shantymaid. Everyone except Dacey was adopted from wuvmybetta.

too much pea can be bad as their stomaches are only as big as one of their eyes! MM

next time just dont give him as much..I even soak my pellets before hand then measure out the size accordingly. They get bloated on dried food, it can cause swimbladder problems too with too much food. MM

I cant remeber where I read it but someone mentioned useing your fingernail to tear off a small piece. That would probably be a good size for a serving I would think. :p

I was wondering where Pea Princess came from Rae hee hee thats so sweet. :D

I give mine half of the pea. They enjoy grabbing it and shaking it into pieces...I think it's fun for them. They look like little bull dogs...with it in their mouth..then shaking it like a toy.

macho guys and girls lmoa..they all do it. I imagine hearing them growl as they do it..kinda like a small terrier type dog does when playing *Tug* lol.
